Watching television has shown to benefit people, aiding with falling asleep. In some people, their eyes become tired and their mind becomes blank, forgetting the stressors from work or their private life. The trick is, to not watch anything too thought provoking. This could actually have a paradoxical effect and increase brain activity.

Dread The Bed!!!

Do you look at your bed and feel overwhelmingly anxious? Does the thought of going to bed make you sick to your stomach? Research shows that the light and the dark may effect quality of sleep as well as effecting onset and latency of sleep. Tidbit For Getting Some Sleep

Research has shown that limiting activities done in the bedroom may decrease problem sleeping. It is recommended that a person only sleep and have sex in the bed. Activities such as eating or watching television are to be kept separate from the bedroom. Having the bed associated with only sleep and sex may increase the onset of sleep.
